Super Utility Vanisher

Super Utility Vanisher

Woody Pittman

Rating: Good
WOW: Good
Method: Good
Value: Good

This is the same gimmick used for Woody's Vanishing Sunglasses. It's a pretty nifty turn on the typical pull. Well constructed, it looks like it will last for some time.

It blends three different utilities into one "Super" utility: the classic pull, the reel, and the sucker pull.

Combined together, you have a utility device that can vanish just about any light-weight object that can be held in the hands including coins, credit cards, silverware, and even eyeglasses.

The Wizard by Steve Fearson

The Wizard

Steve Fearson

Rating: High
WOW: High
Method: High
Value: High

Chances are one of the first tricks you ever learned was something called "The Wizard" where a friend posing as a mysterious stranger on the telephone magically names a card selected by a friend in your house or office. I've only performed this once with Eric DeCamps and we literally blew away his co-worker.

Steve Fearson has taken this into the next century by using an online chat utility. You have a friend freely select a card from the deck, and suddenly you are interrupted by a friend wanting to chat with you on your home PC. He greets you by your name and then reveals the name of the selected card to your friend. There's no sleights to learn, no forces, and there's absolutely no programming to learn.

Just install this little application onto your Windows PC, and the the effect is essentially self-working. This one is a killer.

Magic Zone Party
Banner Tape

Jeff Brown

Rating: High
WOW: N/A
Method: N/A
Value: Good

This is one of those utility items you'll ask yourself, "Hey, why didn't someone think of this stuff before?"

No doubt you have seen the yellow plastic tape that police roll out around a crime scene. Magic Zone Party Banner Tape says, "Magic Zone! Do Not Cross!"

This is perfect for setting up a kid show in someone's home or a mall. It's humorous, clever and brightly colored. It's reusable  and cheap enough to be left behind as a souvenir. It's only $34.95 for 1,000 foot roll.

Balloon Dog Pin

Jeff Brown

Rating: High
WOW: N/A
Method: N/A
Value: Good

Do you do balloon animals? If you do, you need one of these. It's a cute enameled pin of a yellow balloon dog which you can wear on your lapel.

Jeff had these custom made to help celebrate the Balloons Across America project last year, and he only has few left.

I'm glad I have one now. These will be collectors' items some day, and at $6.50, they are a steal.
